Victorian Bronze Walking Cane Handle

In recent times we’ve purchased and sold many collectable walking canes and associated paraphernalia proving a definite upturn in their collectability. Personally I feel tv and film always plays a part in triggering peoples interest . 

This in turn has pushed the retail prices up but beware ! It has also opened a door to cheap copies mainly coming from further afield.

As you’d expect our item is totally original and once again very sought after. Cast from bronze this walking cane topper / handle weighs a hefty 193 grams, it is Victorian and is in overall very good condition, however the pheasants head seems to have been broken off or wasn’t quite cast properly . I have reflected this in my asking price !

Walking canes of the time would also become a very effective form of self defence hence the weight of some of their handles.

All in all a gorgeous piece with a lovely patina.
